SPAA 2010

SPAA 2010 (22nd ACM Symposium on Parallelism in Algorithms and Architectures) is a conference which may interest the participants of SIROCCO 2010. SPAA 2010 will take place at Santorini Island (Greece), on June 12-15, 2010 (with welcome reception on June 12th evening, and the conference starting on June 13th).

Travel Info From SIROCCO TO SPAA

For those who are interested by both SIROCCO 2010 and SPAA 2010, it is possible to attend to both conferences. Here is some useful information for those who want to travel from Sirince to Santorini :

First Travel Alternative:

Flight from Izmir to Santorini. 2 flights a day by Olympic Airlines. All flights from Izmir to Santorini change both at Istanbul and Athens. One may also check other airlines for flights from Izmir to Istanbul for a more flexible timetable ( Turkish Airlines or Atlas JET or Pegasus Airlines).

Second Travel Alternative:

Kusadasi to Samos by ferry, then Samos to Santorini by plane OR by ferry. Kusadasi is about 30 km away from Sirince (The Mathematics Village). Shuttles from the Mathematics Village to Kusadasi port can be organized upon request. For this travelling alternative, you should take the ferry from Kusadasi to Samos on June 11, Friday at 16.30 (http://www.feribot.net/feribot/?lang=en to buy the ticket) and spend the night at Samos. Then it is possible to take a ferry from Samos to Naxos (around 4h30mn) and from Naxos to Santorini (around 3h30mn) to reach Santorini in the late afternoon of June 12, saturday. However, the Hellenic Seaways informed us that the exact schedule will only be available by the end of May. (This is why we could provide this travelling information that late; we are deeply sorry about this). Then, tickets can be bought online at http://www.hellenicseaways.gr (phone number : 0030 2104199000). If you do not want to take this risk, you can fly from Samos to Santorini (via Athens). See http://www.olympicairlines.com/ and http://www.aegeanair.com/ (and possibly some other companies) for these flights. Both airlines offer flights via Athens with a total traveling time of around 3h30mn-4h.
